TECH VOLLEYBALL ANNOUNCES ITS FOUR SUMMER CAMP DATES

RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas - Arkansas Tech University has announced that it will be conducting four volleyball camps on the Tech campus this upcoming summer, according to Golden Suns Head Coach Kristy Bayer.

Among the volleyball camps this summer are a Specialty Camp, a Little Suns Camp, an Advanced Camp and an All-Skills Camp.

The first camp is a one-day Specialty Camp, which will be held on June 12 and is open to players looking to develop their full potential in their chosen specialized position; setter, defensive specialist/libero, and attacker. The cost of the camp is $65 per camper. The camp will provide players the chance to practice and refine their skills in their specific specialized position.

Following the Specialty Camp, Tech will conduct a one-day Little Suns Camp on June 17 for volleyball players 13 and under. The cost of the camp is $65 per camper. This camp is designed to help younger players develop skills and refine their technique.

The third camp is a two-day Advanced Camp from July 11-12 and is open for volleyball players in grades 9-12. The cost of this two-day camp is also $125 per camper for overnight campers and $100 for commuter campers. This camp is designed to meet the needs of the advanced to intermediate volleyball player with at least two years or more of organized game experience. This camp is best suited for a player who has played at the high school and/or has had club level volleyball experience.

The final Tech Volleyball camp is a three-day All-Skills Camp that will run from July 21-23 and is recommended for anyone entering 6th through 12th grade. The cost of this camp is $230 for overnight campers and $180 for commuter campers. Commuter campers will receive all meals but breakfast at the camp. Players who attend this camp will receive in-depth individualized instruction emphasizing skill improvement and maximum number of contacts. The players will be divided according to skill level and the camp will touch on all skills, as well as, the opportunity to play in a team setting.
