GOLDEN SUNS TENNIS ENDS FALL SEASON WITH HOME WIN OVER UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS

        RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns Tennis closed their fall season with a 7-0 win over the University of Ozarks Wednesday afternoon at the Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex.

Tech opened the day winning the doubles 3-0. Whitney Simmons (Pottsville, Ark.) and Kristen Burgess (Winona Texas) defeated Lea Rana and Jeanaa Feazel 8-1 and Renee Malcuit (Lakeside, Claif.) and Jessica James (Lead Hill, Ark.) defeated Whitney Eastman and Lindsey Hanna 8-0. Tech took the third doubles match by default.

In singles, Tech took the No.3 through No. 6 matches as Bree Rangel (Alpine, Calif.) defeated Eastman in straight sets (6-0, 6-0). James defeated Feazel in the No. 4 match in straight sets, as well (6-0, 6-0). The No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches were won by Tech by default.
