TENNIS EARNS GSC VICTORY THURSDAY OVER CHRISTIAN BROTHERS

        LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – Arkansas Tech Golden Suns Tennis put the brakes on its struggles in Gulf South Conference play here Thursday as they earned a 9-0 victory over Christian Brothers at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

Tech, who improved to 6-15 overall on the season and 1-4 in the GSC, dominated the match against the Lady Buccaneers as they limited CBU to just six points the entire match.

The Golden Suns opened the match by winning all three doubles matches, including winning at No. 2 and No. 3 by identical 8-0 scores. Tech won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.

Meanwhile, in singles play, Tech won all the singles matches, holding the Lady Bucs to five total points. Tech won by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores at both No. 4 and No. 6 singles and won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles with sophomore Tahnee Crous (Keller, Texas). Tech won the other three singles matches by a combined score of 24-4 as they played eight-game pro sets.

The Golden Suns will return to action on Friday when they welcome Henderson State for a 5 p.m. non-conference match at Old Post Park in Russellville.
