TENNIS TO HOST FUNDRAISING FROSTY RACQUETS TOURNAMENT

Arkansas Tech Tennis Coach Abby Davis has
announced that her tennis program will host a
fundraising tournament on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Tech’s
Chartwell’s Women’s Sports Complex.
The tournament, which costs $20 for one event or $25 for
two events, will start at 8 a.m. and will run all day.
Tech students, faculty and staff can enter the
tournament for $10 per event. All the proceeds will
benefit the Golden Suns Tennis program.
Davis said that the tournament will feature a mixed
doubles, men’s and women’s doubles and men’s and women’s
singles events. The format will be an 8-game pro set for
all events. Anyone who participates in more than one
event, must be able to play back-to-back matches.
“This is a great way for our tennis program to
be involved with the community,” Davis said. “We
encourage everyone who likes to play some tennis to come
out and participate in our fundraising tournament.”
The deadline is Thursday, Nov. 12 and the
participants will be called with their playing time on
Nov. 13. All participants will receive ear warmers as
part of their entry fee.
