In Tech’s two wins last week over HSU to clinch the West Division title, Pratt went a combined 4-for-7 with a triple and an RBI.

On the season, Pratt is hitting a team-best .368 with 68 hits in 185 at-bats. She has played in and started all 53 games and has scored a team-best 39 runs and is 16-for-20 in stolen bases. In addition, she had a slugging percentage of .438 and an on-base percentage of .406 this season and holds Tech’s single-season records in at-bats (185), runs scored (39), hits (68) and is tied for first single-season games played with 53.

In addition to Palacios, Arkansas-Monticello senior Kate Brady was named the West Division Pitcher of the Week, while Valdosta State senior outfielder Shannon Cleland and West Alabama junior pitcher Emily White were named the GSC East Division Player and Pitcher of the Week respectively.

Pratt and her Golden Sun teammates will return to action on Friday, May 2 when Tech faces North Alabama at 9:30 a.m. in the first round of the 2008 GSC Softball Tournament at the Greenbrook Softball Complex in Southaven, Miss.
