Arkansas Tech's Erin Essink has received her second consecutive Gulf South Conference volleyball player-of-the-week award.

Essink, a 6-foot middle hitter senior from Lincoln, Neb., was selected as the league's defensive top player for the week ending September 27.

In matches against the University of Central Arkansas and Christian Brothers University, Essink had 26 digs for an average of 3.3 per game and 13 blocks. She also finished the week with 33 kills and a .253 hitting percentage.
