Arkansas Tech's Rone Smith has been named to the all-Gulf South Conference men's basketball second team.

Smith averaged 15.3 points per game and started 26 of Tech's 27 games this winter during its 10-17 won-loss campaign.

A 6-6, 210-pound junior from Wichita, Kan., Smith led the Wonder Boys in field goal shooting. He hit 186-of-297 from the field for a .626 shooting percentage.

He also led the team in rebounds, pulling down 205 for an average of 7.6 per game.

Smith hit .582 from the free throw line (39-of-67), was credited with 40 assists and 30 steals.
