Quast ties for
12th at NCAA Men's South Golf Regional

VALDOSTA, Ga. --- Arkansas Tech's Nick Quast fired a
3-over 75 on
the final day to finish with a three-day 6-over 222 and a
tie for 12th place in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf South
Regional at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
Quast, a senior from Springdale, had started the final day
in 13th place and was able to advance one spot in the final
standings that included some 45 individuals from 10 colleges
from across the southland.
He had rounds of 75-72-5 over the 7,289-yard course.
Teammate Brent Wilson, a senior from Cobble Hill, Canada,
finished the tournament in 38th place after shooting 79 on
the last day for a three-day 231. Wilson had rounds of
74-78-79.
Brad Conner of North Alabama took medalist honors with a
6-under 210
(68-72-70) and earned a ticket to next week's national
championship tournament.
In the team competition, Rollins College completed its
three-day sweep through the regional affair with a six-over
870 to beat out second place Delta State (885) by some 15
strokes.
Rounding out the field were 3. Lynn University (889), 4.
Barry University (892), 5. Florida Southern (894), 6. West
Florida (897), 7. Valdosta State (898) and 8. Nova
Southeastern (911).
