to all-region football team

Two Arkansas Tech players have been
named to the Daktronics Division II All-Southeast Region Football Team.
Selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America, the
Tech players are defensive end Cedric Cursh and tight end Josh Rogers.
Cursh, a 6-3, 215-pound sophomore from Foreman, was a defensive leader for the
Wonder Boys during their 10-2 national playoff season. He finished with
95 total tackles, 48 of which were solo efforts.
He led the Gulf South Conference in tackles for a loss, 21 for 89 yards, and
also quarterback sacks, 9 for 64 yards. He recovered five fumbles, forced two
more and blocked one kick.
A first-team selection to the all-conference team, Cursh was also named as the
Gulf South Conference defensive player of the year.

Josh Rogers
All-Region |
Rogers, a 6-3, 228-pound sophomore from
Russellville, led all tight ends in the conference in pass receptions with 32
for 561 yards and 9 touchdowns. He averaged 17.5 yards per catch and 46.8 yards
per game.
Rogers caught passes in 10 of Tech's 12 games and had two touchdown catches in
games against Northeastern State, Southern Arkansas, Delta State and Ouachita.
A first-team all-conference selection, Rogers' longest touchdown reception was
for 65 yards.
