Tech coaches select MVP's following win over

The Arkansas Tech football coaching staff has selected its most valuable
players from the Wonder Boys' 28-14 Gulf South Conference win over the
University of Arkansas at Monticello last Saturday afternoon at Buerkle Field.
Offensive honors went to Michael Crooks, a 5-11, 191-pound junior wide receiver
from San Jose, Calif. Crook graded 85 percent while catching three passes for 85
yards, 32 of those yards coming after the catch. He had touchdown receptions of
51 and 23 yards and also had a couple of explosives.
Tommy Dunn, a 6-3, 235-pound senior from Hampton, took defensive honors. Dunn
graded 89 percent and finished with four solo tackles, eight total hits, and two
sacks. He also forced two bad passes.
The special teams award went to punter Glenn Wilson, a 6-1, 205-pound junior
from Conroe, Texas. Wilson punted nine times for 393 yards, an average of 39.3
yards per punt. His longest punt traveled 50 yards and he placed five punts
inside the UAM 20-yard line.
