Arkansas Tech punter Glenn Wilson has been named as the Gulf South Conference
special teams player-of-the-week following his performance in the Wonder Boys'
28-14 win over the University of Arkansas at Monticello last Saturday afternoon.
Wilson punted the ball nine times for 354 yards for a 34.3 average, including a
long of 50 yards.
The Conroe, Texas, native put five of his punts inside UAM's 20-yard line.
This marks the second time this fall for Wilson, a junior, to received the
special team's player of the week award.
Delta State quarterback Scott Eyster was the offensive player-of-the-week after
throwing for 366 yards and 3 touchdowns while leading the Statesmen to
a 48-14 win over Harding.
Henderson State defensive back Alan Lambert was the defensive choice, notching
eight total tackles, a quarterback sack, forcing one fumble and recovering two
other fumbles as the Reddies defeated West Georgia 28-21.
