Tech coaches select MVP's following win over

The Arkansas Tech football coaching staff has selected its most valuable
players from the Wonder Boys' 35-29 Gulf South Conference win over Delta State
University last Saturday afternoon at Buerkle Field.
Offensive honors went to R.J. Vanhook, a 5-9, 193-pound freshman tailback from
Prescott. Vanhook graded at 92 percent while rushing for 117 yards on
13 carries, picking up 101 of those yards after contact. He scored on a 53-yard
touchdown run and had a couple of knock downs.
Brett Hobbs, a 6-foot, 225-pound senior linebacker from Springdale, took
defensive honors. Hobbs graded 86 percent and had 17 total hits, 11 tackles,
2 quarterback pressures, one caused fumble and one blocked kick.
The special teams award went to Bailey Dickson, a 6-1, 266-pound junior from
Stuttgart. Dickson is the snapper on punts and point-after kicks.
