Tech coaches select MVP's following win over

The Arkansas Tech football coaching staff has selected its most valuable
players from the Wonder Boys' 28-14 Gulf South Conference win over West Georgia
last Saturday night in Carrollton, Ga.
Offensive honors went to Thomas Hosey, a 5-11, 201-pound junior wide receiver
from Laurel, Miss. Hosey graded 95 percent and finished the game with four pass
receptions for 102 yards, 81 of those yards coming after the catch.
His career-long 72-yard reception midway through the third period moved the
Wonder Boys to the West Georgia 1-yard line, setting up Tech's go-ahead
touchdown. Hosey also had two knock downs and two explosives.
Cedric Flemons, a 6-3, 205-pound senior safety from Prescott, earned defensive
honors with an 84 percent grade. Flemons was credited with 10 total tackles,
eight of which were solo efforts; 15 hits, 1 break-up and had two plays where he
made a couple of touchdown-saving tackles.
Special team honors went to Glenn Wilson, a 6-1, 205-pound punter from Conroe,
Texas. Wilson averaged 45.4 yard on each of his seven punts and put two inside
the 20-yard line. His longest punt of the game was a 55-yarder in the fourth
period that put the Wonder Boys in control of field position for the remainder
of
the game.
