The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys will try to remain unbeaten as they travel into
Carrollton, Ga., on Saturday to take on the West Georgia Braves.

after a 42-28 win over West Alabama last week. But the Wonder Boys, ranked No.
21 on the national poll this week, find themselves in a three-way deadlock for
first place in the league standings with Delta State and Valdosta State, all
with 3-0 records
.
West Georgia will go into Saturday night's game still looking for its first win
of the season. The Braves have lost their first three games, including
back-to-back conference outings to Harding and Arkansas-Monticello.

--- getting a 78-yard effort and two touchdowns from freshman R.J. Vanhook ---
and passed for another 292 yards --- with junior Jason Campbell throwing for 277
yards and a pair of scores.

yards, including a 66-yard touchdown catch for the Wonder Boys.

halftime over the Tigers.
West Georgia outrushed UAM 113-70, but couldn't keep up with Boll Weevil
quarterback Cory Allred, who riddled the Braves' secondary for 433 yards and 3
touchdowns in a 31-27 victory in Monticello.
Against UAM, West Georgia got 98 rushing yards from Michael Alexis,
141 passing yards from Brent Owens, 5 pass receptions from Jessie Marinko and a
47.3 punting average from Jeff Carpenter ---- placing four of his seven punts
inside the 20-yard line.
West Georgia had taken a 27-24 lead over the Weevils early in the fourth period
before Allred brought UAM back for the winning score with 6:47 left to be
played.
This will be the seventh meeting between Tech and West Georgia, with the Wonder
Boys holding a 4-2 lead in a series that originated in 1998. Tech has won the
last three get-togethers, including a 38-9 victory last year.
