Kehoe, Cooke earn spot on All-GSC cross
country team

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- Arkansas Tech's Fiona Kehoe and Aoife Cooke earned
All-Gulf South Conference second team honors during the 2004 GSC Cross Country
Championships at Sharon Johnston Park on Saturday morning.
Kehoe finished 15th with a time of 19 minutes, 37.9 seconds over the 5-kilometer
course, while Cooke came in 18th with a time of 19:50.1. It marks the second
consecutive year for Kehoe, a senior from Bridgetown, Ireland, to earn All-GSC
status. Cooke, a freshman from Youghal, Ireland, picked up her first All-GSC
award.
The Golden Suns finished 10th in the team standings with 235 points. The
University of Alabama-Huntsville won its second consecutive GSC women's cross
country title, clipping Harding by a single point in the closest race in meet
history. UAH finished with 36 points, while the Lady Bisons accumulated 37
points.
Harding's Kalina Szteyn cruised to the individual championship, finishing 15
seconds clear of the field with a time of 17:50.9.
Taesha Young (58th, 21:56.0), Brittany Knight (62nd, 22:11.2), Jessica Finley
(82nd, 23:24.3) and Natalie Dawson (89th, 23:35.4) also represented Arkansas
Tech at the meet.
