named to All-GSC Tournament team

Johnson has been named to the 2005 Gulf South Conference All-Tournament baseball
team.
Johnson, a senior from Hot Springs Lake Hamilton, was one of five from the West
Division named to the post-season tournament team. Six players were selected
from the East Division, including MVP Mike Klug of North Alabama.
In Tech's two games, Johnson batted .625 in his eight plate appearances. He had
5 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 4 runs. He had one double and 2 home runs.
Other West Division selections included Rusty Rayborn and Clay Smith of Delta
State and Nick Tillsley and Cody Ellis of Arkansas-Monticello.
Representing the East were Brandon Boles, Jason Herman and Dustin Roberts of
West Alabama and Brian Jenkins, Matt Hancock and Klug of North Alabama.
West Alabama won the tournament with a 9-4 victory over North Alabama in a
winner take-all championship game at USA Stadium in Millington, Tenn.
