GOLDEN SUNS CLOSE FALL SEASON WITH FOURTH PLACE FINISH
AT RHODES' FALL GOLF CLASSIC

The Arkansas Tech Women’s
Golf team completed play here on Tuesday in the Rhodes
Fall Classic at the Tunica National Golf Club.
Tech finished the two-day, 36-hole event by shooting a
694 to finish seven shots behind third place Centre
College (687) and 47 shots in front of fifth place Berry
College and Rhodes College (741). Tech opened the
tournament by firing a 352 in Monday’s first round and
then carded a 342 in Tuesday’s final round.
Leading the way for the Golden Suns was junior Kyla
McIsaac (Kentville, Nova Scotia), Second Team
All-Gulf South Conference selection. McIsaac, who shot a
168 for 36 holes, finished tied for 11th place.
Birmingham Southern took home the team title as the
Panthers shot a 655 for 36 holes. East Central [OK] shot
668 to finish in second place, while Centre College shot
a 687 for third. Oglethorpe’s Katie Dale shot 80 first
round and a second round 77 for a 157 to take home
individual medalist honors. Centre College’s Katie
McKenna also shot a 157 to finish tied with Dale.
In addition to McIsaac, sophomore Alyssa
DuVall (Greenwood, Ark.) who carded a two-day total
of 174 (90, 84) to finish tied for 16th place, while
junior Ana Morales (Bogata, Columbia) fired a 176
to finish tied for 19st place. Morales carded an 89 in
the first round and then shot an 87 in the final round.
Freshman Megan Kelley (Greenwood, Ark.) carded a
177 (87, 90) which tied her for 21st place and redshirt
freshman Niki Possage (Dardanelle, Ark.) shot a
187 (89, 98) to finish in 28th place.
With this tournament closing out, it also signifies the
end of Tech’s fall schedule.
