ARKANSAS TECH ANNOUNCES DATE FOR ITS ANNUAL "LINK IT UP"
4-MAN SCRAMBLE GOLF TOURNAMENT
RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas –
Arkansas Tech Head Football Coach and Athletic Director
Steve Mullins has announced the date for this
year’s annual “Link It Up” 4-Man Scramble Golf
Tournament.
This year’s “Link It Up” Tournament, which serves as a
fundraiser for the Wonder Boys football program, will be
held at Lion’s Den Golf Club in Dardanelle, Ark., on
Friday, April 25. The “Link It Up” Golf Tournament is
always held one day prior to the Wonder Boys’ Green and
Gold Spring Scrimmage, which is scheduled for Saturday,
April 26 at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field.
The “Link It Up” Golf Tournament will begin with a
barbeque lunch beginning at 11:15 a.m. and will be
followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start of the 4-man
scramble.
“We are dedicated to building a first-class football
program at Arkansas Tech and this event will help us
accomplish that by fostering relationships with Tech
alumni and supporters, and creating additional avenues
to enhance revenue,” Mullins says in the “Link It Up”
brochure. “Here at Arkansas Tech, we want to continue to
build a successful program within the Gulf South
Conference, which many consider to be the ‘SEC’ of
Division II Football.”
The entry fee for this year’s event is $100 per
individual or $400 per 4-man scramble team. There will
be prizes, raffles and hole contests during the event.
In addition, Wonder Boys Assistant Coach/Offensive
Coordinator Scott Preston says that tournament
sponsorships are also available.
