Falconer
began
his
coaching
career
at
Kincaid
High
School
(Kincaid,
Kansas)
from
1963-66
as head
basketball,
football,
and
baseball
coach.
He
served
as head
basketball,
assistant
football,
and
assistant
track
and
field
coach at
Skyline
High
School
(Pratt,
Kansas)
from
1966-70.
Falconer
was the
head
basketball
coach at
Goddard
High
School
(Goddard,
Kansas)
from
1970-72.
He moved
on to be
the head
basketball
coach at
Labette
County
High
School
(Altamont,
Kansas)
from
1972-79
where he
also
assisted
in
football
and
track
for four
of those
years.
He was
hired as
assistant
basketball,
football
and
track
coach at
Russellville
High
School
(Russellville,
Arkansas)
from
1979-87.
He
became
the
assistant
men's
basketball
coach at
Arkansas
Tech
University
in 1987
and
served
in that
capacity
until
1995.
Coach
Falconer
has been
the head
golf
coach at
Tech
since
1989.
At
Tech:
Dave
Falconer
gained
the
crowning
achievement
in a
16-year
career
as the
Wonder
Boys'
head
golf
coach in
2004
when he
led Tech
to its
first-ever GSC
Golf
Championship
and he
was
named GSC
Coach of
the
Year.
Tech
became
the
first
team
from
Arkansas
to ever
win the GSC
men's
golf
championship.
Falconer
has
coached
the
Wonder
Boys to
five
conference
championships
and four
conference
runner-ups
during
his
tenure.
He has
led Tech
to five
appearances
in the
NCAA
Tournament
during
the last
eight
years.
In all,
eight of
Falconer's
golf
teams
have
gone on
to
national
postseason
competition,
including
three
appearances
in the NAIA
National
Tournament.
