Coaching Experience:

Coach Goss began his coaching career at Sylvan Hills High School from 1979-94. He coached at Little Rock Mills High School in 1994-95 before moving on to Arkansas Tech University, where he was an assistant football coach 1995-98. Coach Goss was named as the head baseball coach at Tech in the fall of 1998.

At Tech:
In his first two seasons at Tech, Billy Goss guided the Wonder Boys to back-to-back 20-win seasons. In 2001, Goss took it up a notch, leading Tech to a 32-20 overall record and an appearance in the championship round of the Gulf South Conference Tournament. The Wonder Boys' run in the GSC Tournament was Tech's best-ever showing in the event, reaffirming the Wonder Boys' position as one of the top baseball programs in the conference. Tech made it back to the postseason in 2004, finishing with a 31-23 overall record and an appearance in the GSC Tournament at USA Stadium in Millington, Tenn and in 2005, Goss directed the Wonder Boys to a 28-22 overall record and a 17-7 mark in the GSC. In 2006, Goss led Tech to a 19-29 overall record and a 6-17 mark in the GSC, while this past season, Tech finished with a 22-32-1 overall record and a 10-10 mark in the GSC, which earned the Wonder Boys a berth in the GSC Tournament in Millington. In addition, Goss earned his 200th career coaching victory last season and also helped Tech win 1,000th all-time baseball game.  Since becoming head coach, he has coached 38 All-GSC selections, seven GSC All-Academic selections, 70 GSC Academic Honor Roll honorees and has had two players drafted in the Major League Baseball Draft - first baseman John Paul Davis (2001, 22nd round, Tampa Bay Devil Rays) and right-handed pitcher Aubrey Miller (2006, 23rd round, Baltimore Orioles).

Personal:

Goss is 49 years old. He was born August 10, 1956, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is married to the former Sherri Homan of Benton, Arkansas. The couple have two children, Jeremy and Brad, both of whom are former all-conference performers for the Tech baseball program.

Playing Experience:
Was a four-year letterwinner (1998-01) in baseball at the University of Arkansas as a pitcher and first baseman and was a four-time member of the All-Academic SEC Baseball team. Following his career with the Razorbacks, McCrotty was drafted in the 23rd round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Florida Marlins and played two seasons (2001-02) as a pitcher in the Marlins organization. In 2003, played one season with the Rockford RiverHawks in the Independent Frontier League, before getting into coaching. As a high school player with the Cyclones, McCrotty was a two-time All-State performer and a three-time All-District honoree and was drafted out of high school by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Coaching Experience:

McCrotty is entering his third-season as an assistant coach with the Wonder Boys as he began his coaching career at as a volunteer assistant in 2004 and was hired as a full-time assistant in July of 2005. At Tech, McCrotty works with the pitchers, including former Wonder Boy Aubrey Miller, who was drafted in the 23rd round f last summer's MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. He also spent the summer of 2004 as the pitching coach for the Thomasville Hi-Toms in the Coastal Plains League, which is a collegiate summer league team.

Personal:
McCrotty is 28 years old and was born on June 22, 1979, in Russellville, Ark. Is the son of Denny and Mary Lou McCrotty of Russellville, Ark., and has a twin brother, Will, who played eight seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Indians organizations and is in his first season on the Wonder Boy coaching staff. His father, Denny, is the head baseball coach at Russellville High School. McCrotty is married to the former Melissa Gray of Hector, Ark., and the couple has a daughter, Abree Brynn.

At Tech:
McCrotty is entering his fourth season at Tech in 2007-08 and his second year as the team's pitching coach.

Playing Experience:
Curry spent two seasons playing at Meridian [MS] Community College and one season at Mississippi State. As a senior at Conway High School, Curry was chosen in the 26th round by the San Francisco Giants and then after his freshman year at Meridian, Curry was drafted in the 17th round by the Detroit Tigers. He was a 52nd round selection in 1998 prior to enrolling at Mississippi State by the Tigers. In 1998, Curry was selected to play in the Cape Cod league, where he was chosen to participate in the Cape Cod Summer League All-Star Game as a catcher. In 1999, Curry was a ninth-round pick in the MLB Draft by the Chicago Cubs. He spent four seasons in the Cubs organization making it as high as Triple-A Iowa in 2002. After being released by Chicago, Curry signed a free agency deal with the San Francisco Giants organization, where he played for three years, reaching as high as the Double-A level. Curry also spent one season (2006) with the Gary [IN] Steelheads of the Independent Northern League, where he was selected to the league’s All-Star Game. Most recently, Curry went to spring training with the Kansas City Royals.

Personal:
Curry is 30 years old and was born on November 17, 1977 and a Conway, Ark. native. He is the son of Mike and Tersa Curry of Conway and he is married to the former Chassity Cossey of Hamburg, Ark.

At Tech:
Curry is entering his first season at Tech and will work with hitting and catchers.

Playing Experience:
After high school, McCrotty had an eight-year professional career playing in both the Los Angeles Dodges and Cleveland Indian organizations. McCrotty, who was a sixth round choice of the Dodgers in the 1997 MLB Draft, played seven seasons with the Dodgers, including the first four years as a catcher and the final three seasons as a right-handed pitcher and catcher, making it as high as Double-A Jacksonville [FL] and then spent one season with the Cleveland Indians before injuries ended his career. Prior to his professional career, McCrotty, who helped lead Russellville to the 1994 American Legion World Series, earned four letters and was a three-time All-State selection with the Cyclones as a catcher and was named a high school All-American as a senior.
