RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Arkansas Tech Women’s Cross Country fell two spots to ninth in this week’s NCAA Division II South Regional rankings compiled by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Tech, who is coming off a sixth place finish at last Saturday’s Gulf South Conference Championship Meet in Hoover, Ala., is one of six GSC schools in this week’s seventh region poll of the season.

Other GSC schools ranked this week other than Tech and Harding include Alabama-Huntsville at No. 3, West Florida at No. 5, Southern Arkansas at No. 7 and North Alabama at No. 8.

Tampa continues to headline the poll as they are ranked first for the third consecutive week, while Florida Southern remains at No. 4, Columbus State falls one spot to No. 6 and Augusta State round out the poll at No. 10 for the second straight week.

The Golden Suns return to action on Saturday, Nov. 3 when they compete at the NCAA Division II South Regional Meet at Sharon Johnston Park in Huntsville, Ala.
