GOLDEN SUNS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM SET TO HOST ITS ANNUAL
VALENTINE'S DAY 5K RUN ON FEBRUARY 9
RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas –
Arkansas Tech’s Women’s Cross Country team is hosting
its annual Valentine’s Day 5K Race on Saturday, Feb. 9
beginning at 9 a.m. at the Bona Dea Jogging Trails in
Russellville.
The race is open to anyone interested in running and the
event will feature a 5K running and a 5K walking
division, along with a Sweetheart Division for married
and unmarried couples. In addition, there will be Kids’
1-Mile race, which will be held at 10 a.m.
Cost of the race is $15 is pre-registered before Feb. 8
and $20 on the day of the race. In addition, add $3 per
sweetheart entry. There is a $10 entry fee for college
students and younger, while the 1-Mile Kids’ Run is free
to anyone child under the age of 12.
“We’re excited to once again be able to conduct this
event and I’m hoping we get a lot of people out from the
area to participate in it,” Tech Cross Country Coach Tom
Aspel said.
Once again this year, Tech’s Valentine’s Day 5K Race
will be part of the 2008 Arkansas Grand Prix XXVII
Series.
