GOLDEN SUNS TO HOLD AN OPEN TRYOUT WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2

        RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Arkansas Tech Golden Suns Basketball Coach Dave Wilbers has announced that his coaching staff is holding an open tryout for anyone interested in playing for the Golden Suns next season on Wednesday, April 2.

The tryout is open to anyone who is a current high school senior or older and is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Tech’s Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

In his first season with the Golden Suns, Wilbers led Tech to a 26-6 overall record, a 12-2 mark in the Gulf South Conference and a No. 13 ranking in the USA Today/ESPN WBCA D-II Top 25 Coaches’ Poll. In addition, the Golden Suns advanced to its second straight NCAA D-II Tournament, where it lost in the semifinals of the South Regional to 17th-ranked Valdosta State in Cleveland, Miss.
