GAME TIMES ANNOUNCED FOR THIS WEEKEND'S NCAA D-II SOUTH REGIONAL MEN'S TOURNAMENT AT FLORIDA SOUTHERN

        RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas On Monday, Florida Southern College, the host institution, announced the game times for this coming weekend’s NCAA Division II South Regional Men’s Basketball Tournament, which will be held at George E. Jenkins Fieldhouse on the FSC campus.

Tech, who earned the No. 4 seed in the South Region after collecting its first-ever Gulf South Conference Tournament Championship on Sunday, will open the tournament on Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. CST against fifth-seeded Benedict, who was an at-large selection from the SIAC.

Other game times for Saturday’s first round at No. 2 seed Christian Brothers facing No. 7 seed Delta State at 11 a.m. CST, while No. 3 seed Claflin will play No. 6 seed Valdosta State at 1:30 p.m. CST and No. 1 seed and tournament host Florida Southern will face No. 8 seed LeMoyne-Owen College, the SIAC Tournament champion at 5 p.m. CST.

On Sunday, March 15, the regional semifinals are scheduled for 4 and 6:30 p.m. CST, while the regional championship game is slated for a 6 p.m. CST start on Tuesday, March 17.

The winner of the Tech-Benedict game will face the winner of the Florida Southern-LeMoyne-Owen game in one of the two semifinals at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

All of Tech’s games in the NCAA South D-II Regional will be broadcast live on the radio by KWKK (100.9 FM) with Sam Strasner and Kelly Davis on the call. In addition, the radio broadcast will be streamed on the internet at http://athletics.atu.edu.
