WONDER BOYS ANNOUNCE THAT ITS HOME BASEBALL GAME WITH
UNIVERSITY OF OZARKS HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR APRIL 21
RUSSELLVILLE,
Arkansas –
Arkansas Tech Baseball Coach Billy Goss has
announced that his team’s home game on Tuesday, April 7
against the University of Ozarks has been rescheduled
for Tuesday, April 21 at 6 p.m. at Tech Field.
Goss said that the game needed to be rescheduled due to
the fact the Ozarks team is battling sickness and
injuries that affected the Wonder Boys last season.
“They are having a lot of the same kind of things
happening with their team that happened to us last
season, so we decided to move the game back to April
21,” Goss said.
Due to the schedule change, Tech will next be in action
this coming weekend when they travel to Arkadelphia,
Ark., to face Ouachita Baptist in a key Gulf South
Conference series. The teams will play a doubleheader at
Rab Rogers Field beginning at 12 p.m. on Friday, April
10 and then play a single game on Saturday beginning at
1 p.m. All three games of this weekend’s series will be
broadcast live on the radio on KCAB (980 AM) and also on
the internet at
http://athletics.atu.edu.
Tech enters the weekend series with Ouachita Baptist
sporting a 19-23 overall record and is tied for third
place with Harding in the GSC West Division standings
with a 7-5 mark, while OBU enters the series sporting a
28-14 overall record and is in fifth place in the West
Division standings with a 5-7 mark. The top four teams
from the West Division at the end of the regular season
advance to the GSC Tournament in Millington, Tenn., on
May 2-6.
