BASEBALL ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR THIS WEEKEND'S
SERIES AT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS DUE TO THE WEATHER
RUSSELLVILLE,
Arkansas –
Arkansas Tech’s Baseball team has announced that its
three-game Gulf South Conference series scheduled for
this weekend here against Christian Brothers has had to
be adjusted due to wet field conditions.
The two teams were scheduled to open the series with a
doubleheader on Saturday, March 28 and then play a
single game on Sunday, March 29. But due to wet field
conditions, CBU officials have moved now scheduled the
single game for Saturday at 3 p.m. and have moved the
doubleheader to Sunday beginning at 12 p.m.
“The field at CBU is still very wet from rains that have
hit the Memphis area the past two days, so they decided
to make an adjustment to this weekend’s schedule,”
Wonder Boys Head Coach Billy Goss said.
‘Hopefully, the weather will clear up and allow the
field to dry out so we can play baseball this weekend.”
Tech enters the weekend sporting a 16-20 overall record
and is sitting in third place in the GSC West Division
standings with a 4-2 mark, while CBU is 7-17 overall and
0-3 in the GSC.
All three games of this weekend’s series will be
broadcast live on the radio on KCAB (980 FM) in the
Russellville area and also on the internet at
http://athletics.atu.edu.
