WEATHER CAUSES CANCELLATION OF TUESDAY'S
DOUBLEHEADER WITH AUGUSTANA

        RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Rain in the Russellville area has caused the cancellation of today’s 2 p.m. doubleheader scheduled with Augustana.

        This marks the seventh date in the 2008 season that the Wonder Boys have had to cancel due to either snow or rain.

        The Wonder Boys were coming off of a successful Gulf South Conference opening weekend when they were able to sweep Henderson State by the scores of 6-3, 6-1, and 3-1.

        Tech will look to get back in action this weekend for a Friday-Saturday series at Arkansas-Monticello. Friday will feature a doubleheader between the two clubs with the first pitch scheduled to be thrown at 12 p.m. Saturday will be one nine inning contest also tagged to start at 12 p.m.

        Tech has already picked up a pair of non-conference victories over the Boll Weevils this season when they defeated UAM on Feb. 19 by the scores of 8-0 and 3-1.
