FRANTZ SIMEON NAMED TECH MALE
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Arkansas Tech has
named senior receiver/return specialist Frantz Simeon
(Belle Glade, Fla.) as this week's fourth Male
Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2009-10 school year.
Simeon earns this week's honor after his
outstanding performance in the Wonder Boys 59-14 home
win on Sept. 26 on Family Day against
Arkansas-Monticello. In the win over the Boll Weevils,
Simeon gained 307 all-purpose yards as he caught a
career-high 10 passes for 165 yards, returned two kicks

307 all-purpose yards were the most by a Wonder Boy

against North Alabama last season. On the season, Simeon
leads the GSC and is third nationally in all-purpose
yards (207.8 yards/game) and he also leads the league in
kickoff returns (28.3 yards/return) and is third in the
league in punt returns (13.8 yards/return). He has
also caught 21 passes for 311 yards and is averaging
77.8 receiving yards per game and 14.8 yards per
reception.
In his one-plus seasons at Tech, Simeon, who is a
transfer from Florida Atlantic University, has amassed
1,447 career all-purpose yards and is averaging 103.4
all-purpose yards per game. He has also caught 44 passes
