ANA MORALES NAMED TECH'S FEMALE STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Arkansas Tech has named Golden Suns golfer Ana Morales (Bogata, Columbia) as this week's Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Morales, who is a freshman, earns the honor after finishing tied for sixth at the rain-shortened Texas A&M-Commerce Lady Lion Invitational in Pottsboro, Texas. The sixth place finish was her fourth Top 10 finish of the season. At the Lady Lion Invitational, Morales shot an 81 to finish tied for sixth place out of 76 golfers at the tournament. On the season, Morales leads the Golden Suns Golf Team with an average of 82.1 in 11 rounds of golf and had a season-best score of 160 in finishing second at the Lady Bison Fall Classic in Searcy, Ark. In addition to her four Top 10 finishes, Morales hasn't finished lower than a tie for 14th place in any of her six tournaments.
