GOMEZ NAMED THIRD TEAM ALL-AMERICAN

Arkansas Tech first baseman Siarra Gomez has added another piece of hardware to her impressive collection this postseason, as the sophomore earned a Third Team All-America selection from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). With the award, Gomez becomes the first all-American in Arkansas Tech softball history.

TECH BASEBALL TO HOST SUMMER CAMPS

The Arkansas Tech baseball program will host a series of summer camps at Tech Field, with the first camps to be held May 29-30. Camp information and online registration is available at www.atechbaseballcamps.com.

ABREU, TAYLOR EARN ALL-REGION HONORS

Arkansas Tech second baseman Cesar Abreu picked up his second All-Central Region First Team honor, and pitcher Ryan Taylor earned a second team honor as the 2013 Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) teams were announced over the weekend.

SURTEVALL TIES FOR 12TH PLACE AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Rebecka Surtevall carded a final-round 77 (+5) to finish the four-round NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship with a four-round score of 302 (+14), tying for 12th place as the championship event concluded on Saturday.

SURTEVALL TIED FOR 14TH AFTER THIRD DAY OF NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Rebecka Surtevall sits in a four-way tie for 14th place after carding a 77 (+5) in the third round of the NCAA Division II Golf Championships on Friday. The sophomore sits ten strokes behind overall leader Linnea Johansson of Nova Southeastern entering Saturday's final round.

CESAR ABREU EARNS FIRST TEAM ALL-REGION HONOR

On the heels of a senior season where he finished fourth in the Great American Conference with a .394 batting average, tied for third in the league with four triples, finished second in the league with 20 stolen bases, 10th in the league with a .494 slugging percentage, and led the league with a .502 on-base percentage, Arkansas Tech senior Cesar Abreu earned a Daktronics All-Central Region First Team honor, as selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) from the Central Region.
